She's adorable. How did you do the fur? And the dress!?

I used the Williams-Sonoma Build-a-Bear cake pan (which they no longer sell): http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/sku7295520/index.cfm?bnrid=3252101&cm_ven=NBSearch&cm_cat=Google&cm_pla=FocusProductsBuildaBearPan&cm_ite=build+a+bear+cake+pan&OVMTC=Broad&site=&creative=2642945155&OVKEY=build%20a%20bear%20cake%20pan. I also had a Santa decorating kit for the cake. I used the pattern for the Santa costume, leaving off the sleeves and the extra details, and painted on the gingham pattern with tinted clear vanilla. The fur was done, per the bear's decorating instructions, by painting on a sugaring glaze and sprinkling on turbinado/demerara sugar. (Harder than it sounds because you have to keep picking up the bear to reach different surfaces.) For the ruby slippers, I just used red decorating sugar instead. There was also a pattern for the foot pads, eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth.
